About Miami

Miami University, established in 1809, is a public university located in Oxford, Ohio. Ranked among the top 50 "Best Values in Public Colleges" by Kiplinger, Miami is recognized as one of the nation's most outstanding undergraduate institutions. With a student body of nearly 19,000, Miami effectively combines a wide range of strong academic programs with the personal attention ordinarily found only at much smaller institutions.

Program Information

Miami's Esports program consists of three varsity Miami RedHawks teams competing in League of Legends, Hearthstone and Overwatch games. Miami’s Overwatch team won the 2017 National Association of Collegiate Esports championship, a major step for a program only a couple of years old at that time. Miami is showing its commitment with investment in an Esports arena on the first floor of the university's King Library.

The program hosts a summer Esports camp as well, counseled by members of the varsity program.
