Southern Collegiate Gaming Association (GSU's branded competitive gaming body) hosts 6 Collegiate opportunities for students seeking to compete in an Esports setting, including Overwatch, CSGO, League of Legends, Smite, Rocket League, Call of Duty. As one of GSU's most unique outlets SCG has provided collegiate opportunities since 2012. Students can register for Try-outs for the team or teams of their choice. Those who make the final squad enjoy almost all the perks of being on an official Athletic Team.
Players will get a contract to sign upon making the team. Then they will attend structured practices that will prepare them for games against universities across the United States. They will also receive official gear such as Jerseys, Jackets etc so they have something to wear as they attend Tournaments.
